The open

technology preview Novell announced
at BrainShare U.S. has been extremely successful. As of April 19, Novell
had 1,522
downloads and very productive discussion taking place in the Novell
forums. As a
reminder, the technology preview--as well as available supporting
resources--can
be found at http://www.novell.com/mobilitypreview.
The Novell Data Synchronizer Mobility Pack also entered an
authorized beta testing cycle on April 7, with FCS planned for the
summer time frame. More than 500 customers applied for this
beta—validation of the strong interest we know our customers have in
this product. Novell anticipates a very active beta process as customers
install the product and put it to use in their environments.
Please note that the Novell Data Synchronizer Mobility Pack is not
supported on GroupWise 7 and that GroupWise 8.0.2 will be required to
enable its full functionality. GroupWise 8.0.2 is also scheduled to
release this summer, and a public beta is planned for mid-May.
Authorized mobility beta sites have already been given access to the
GroupWise 8.0.2 internal beta code.
Watch for more information--including sales tools, enablement
resources and more--as we near the Novell Data Synchronizer product
launch date. In the meantime, please contact Travis Grandpre, Product
Marketing Manager, or Alex Evans, Product Manager, if you have
questions. You can also check the following Cool Solutions blogs
